1
Base layer: Place 10 coupes in a 4-3-2-1 format. No gaps — every coupe should touch its neighbour.
2
Second layer: Add 6 coupes in a 3-2-1 formation, centered in the gaps of the layer below.
3
Third layer: Place 3 coupes in a 2-1 formation, centered on the second layer.
4
Top: Crown with 1 final coupe. This is where you pour.
Important: Check every coupe is the same height before moving to the next layer. This is the #1 factor for a stable tower.
20 coupes total  ·  5–6 bottles of champagne
1
Base layer: Place 16 coupes in a 4×4 square grid. Rows and columns tight — every coupe touching its neighbour.
2
Second layer: Add 9 coupes in a 3×3 formation, centered on top. Each coupe sits in the gap formed by four coupes below.
3
Third layer: Place 4 coupes in a 2×2 formation, centered on the second layer.
4
Top: Crown with 1 final coupe. This is where you pour.
Important: Check every coupe is the same height before moving to the next layer. This is the #1 factor for a stable tower.

Quick fixes
Something not right?
Most issues have a 30-second fix.
Tower feels wobbly or unstable
  • Make sure you're on a sturdy, completely level surface.
  • Twist every coupe tightly onto its base — loose coupes create uneven heights which cause wobble.
  • Check that every coupe in the same layer is exactly the same height. Even 1mm difference is enough to make a layer unstable.
  • If one layer feels off, remove it and rebuild — don't force a crooked stack upward.
Champagne is foaming or overflowing
  • Your champagne is too warm. Chill bottles thoroughly — cold champagne foams far less.
  • Pour slowly from the top glass only, and pause between rounds.
  • Let bubbles settle before continuing to pour.
Glasses aren't sitting right
  • No gaps in the base layer — all coupes must touch each other.
  • The foundation controls everything. If something feels wrong, rebuild the base layer first.
  • For triangle: use the inner grooves. For square: use the outer grooves.
Cascade is uneven
  • Your tower isn't sitting perfectly level — small adjustments to the table or base make a big difference.
  • Check that glasses are evenly spaced and properly aligned in every layer.
  • Pour even more slowly at the top to give the champagne time to flow evenly.
